Philosophy

While the birth of a newborn is an extraordinary time for parents, it can also feel overwhelming and exhausting. The first hours and days after the delivery of your baby are often very busy as you get to know your newborn and recover from birth. Parents frequently leave the hospital without getting the support they need to feel confident that they will achieve their feeding goals. We established The Baby Nurses Lactation Support to provide support to parents prenatally and in feeding their babies at home. We believe that breastfeeding is the natural way to feed your baby, and that breastmilk is the optimal source of health and wellness for baby and parent. We will listen and work with you to develop a feeding plan that is tailored to your specific needs and challenges- all from the comfort of your own home environment. We also believe that feeding education should start BEFORE the birth of your baby, so you are best prepared to meet your little one with knowledge about newborn behavior and establishing a breastmilk supply. As IBCLCs, it is our belief that with evidence-based, compassionate care and support, parents can overcome challenges and find confidence and success in feeding their baby.
